Dimitriadou, Evgenia; Dolnicar, Sara; Weingessel, Andreas – Psychometrika, 2002
Explored the problem of choosing the correct number of clusters in cluster analysis of high dimensional empirical binary data. Findings from a simulation that included 162 binary data sets resulted in recommendations about the number of clusters for each index under consideration. Compared and analyzed the performance of index results. (SLD)

Lazraq, Aziz; Cleroux, Robert – Psychometrika, 2002
Studied the interrelationships between two sets of data measured on the same subjects via redundancy analysis in a simulation study. Under the hypothesis of multinormality, obtained tests of significance for each successive redundancy component so that only the significant factors are retained for prediction purposes. (SLD)

Green, Samuel B.; Thompson, Marilyn S.; Poirer, Jennifer – Structural Equation Modeling, 2001
Presented and evaluated an adjusted Bonferroni method for controlling familywise rate when deleting parameters in specification addition searches. Simulation results show that the adjusted Bonferroni method controlled adequately for Type I errors in the initial addition stage of a two-stage search and with backward selection. (SLD)

However, testing companies do not prefer item review since it does not follow the logic on which adaptive tests are based, and since it is prone to cheating strategies. Consequently, item review is not permitted in many adaptive…
