Peer reviewedCrehan, Kevin D.; And Others – Journal of Educational Measurement, 1974
Test wiseness was examined with respect to grade differences, grade by sex interaction, and stability. Stem-options, similar-options, and specific-determiners were included. Results indicated significant increases on test wiseness in four of five cases, no sex by grade interaction, and test wiseness as a stable characteristic over the grade levels…

Peer reviewedTrimmer, Harvey, Jr. – Journal of Employment Counseling, 1974
Kapes and Sievert's (1973) research on the difference between wooden and plastic peg boards for the GATB is replicated. The results indicate that individuals tested on the wooden equipment perform significantly higher than those tested on the plastic equipment. (Author/PC)

Peer reviewedBarak, Azy; Meir, Elchanan I. – Journal of Vocational Behavior, 1974
The purpose of this study was to test the predictive validity of the Ramak--a vocational interest inventory based on Roe's (1956) classification of occupations. In this follow-up, 81 percent of the original sample, tested 7 years earlier, was located. The effectiveness of the Ramak in vocational counseling is evaluated. (Author)

Peer reviewedConger, Anthony J. – Multivariate Behavioral Research, 1974
Two indices of profile reliability are shown to be equivalent in terms of the individual independent canonical composites; however, because of different weighting procedures, they yield different overall indices of profile reliability. A common formula is provided from which both indices can be derived. (Author)

Huynh, Huynh – 1977
Three techniques for estimating Kuder Richardson reliability (KR20) coefficients for incomplete data are contrasted. The methods are: (1) Henderson's Method 1 (analysis of variance, or ANOVA); (2) Henderson's Method 3 (FITCO); and (3) Koch's method of symmetric sums (SYSUM). A Monte Carlo simulation was used to assess the precision of the three…

Peer reviewedStone, Mark – Psychology in the Schools, 1975
The S.I.T. is an age scale of intelligence with demonstrated reliability and high validity coefficients correlated to the Stanford-Binet. The items of the SIT were classified according to a scheme resembling Valett's classification of Stanford-Binet test items. A comparison of the classifications is made. (Author)

Peer reviewedOakland, Thomas; And Others – Journal of School Psychology, 1975
Interrater differences in scoring actual WISC protocols were determined for three different IQ levels. In general, differences among the 94 examiners tended to be within an acceptable range as established by the standard error of measurement; variance on two Verbal subtests occasionally exceeded their corresponding standard error of measurement.…
