This article shows that student grades based on the difference on scores from one test to another are statistically unreliable and unfair to the better students. (MM)

The relationship between the Slosson (1953) Intelligence Test (SIT) and the Wechsler (1949) Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC) was studied to provide information about the SIT's usefulness as a measure of intelligence, for placement purposes and for screening purposes. (NH)

The purpose of the study was to determine whether WPPSI is a valid and reliable instrument for the measurement of the intelligence of children whose scores fall within the upper range as measured by the Stanford-Binet. The results of this study indicated that there was only a moderate relationship between the two. (Author)

Data from the WAIS, WISC, and WPPSI Standardization samples were used to reappraise validity of all short forms of two, three, four, and five subtests.
