Eleven adults who had been diagnosed as dyslexic in childhood were evaluated via psychological and educational testing and interviews. Reading and spelling deficits were marked, and patterns of skill weaknesses and cognitive abilities were found to have remained remarkably consistent over the approximately 17-year period. (CL)

Examined the Wechsler-Bellevue, Rorschah, TAT, and Word-Association tests of forty patients for clinical indications of their suicide potential. Human figure drawings of 316 public school pupils (8 to 16 years old), half of whom were referred for counseling services, were analyzed using the Koppitz system of indicators of emotionality. The Preschool-Primary Nowicki-Strickland Internal-External Control Scale (PPNSIE) was used to assess the locus of control in 359 mildly retarded secondary students. Unacceptably low reliability estimates for the PPNSIE were revealed, with IQ and age the strongest predictors of scores. (CL)
