As energy costs rise so will concern for energy savings in institutions. In achieving these savings it will be necessary to consider health and safety criteria. Special needs for several types of institutional facilities are discussed. (RE)

Examination of data from a national database reveals that children in group care--including day care centers--are ill more, as measured by the annual number of days they spend in bed, than children cared for at home--including family day care homes--especially at younger ages. (BJV)
