This study compared the effectiveness of three instructional methods: publications, lecture with filmstrips, and lecture plus fieldwork, on the acquisition of cognitive objectives. Content analysis of interview transcription replicated earlier findings indicating that elementary teachers place an inordinately high priority on affective concerns.
