Surveyed young adults (N=74) on attitudes toward aging and perceptions of parental health. Ratings of relatively unfavorable parental health were associated with greater anxiety toward personal and peers' aging. No association was evident with general attitudes toward the elderly. Interviewed bereaved persons shortly after the death of a close family member and 18 months later. Respondents were grouped according to mode of death. Investigated the life satisfaction and death anxiety of elderly women (N=60) as a function of demographic, life history, and stress variables.
