Noland, Melody Powers; And Others – Health Education (Washington D.C.), 1987
Two hundred and ten students participated in this study to assess the health locus of control and health status of secondary special education students. Educable mentally retarded adolescents were compared to learning disabled students and together they were compared to non-handicapped persons. Results are presented and discussed. (MT)

Examined the family supports of 167 post-hospitalized older adults as they varied by the relationship of the primary caregiver. The findings indicated that the most comprehensive and unstressful support was provided by a spouse. Family members were available in serial order rather than acting as a shared-functioning unit.
