Linsk, Nathan L.; Pinkston, Elsie M. – Educational Gerontology, 1984
Describes three formats of a 15-hour training program for human service practitioners, who learned to maintain older persons at home using behavioral methods. Findings revealed significantly improved knowledge of gerontological information, practice skills, and relevant behavioral principles. All three formats produced significant outcomes. (BH)

Bregman, Sue – Mental Retardation, 1984
An assertiveness training program specifically developed for mentally retarded adults was used to train 128 participants from four rehabilitation centers. Results demonstrated improvement in assertive behaviors and some relationship between internal locus of control and increased assertiveness skills. (Author/CL)

An 18-year-old youth placed in a residential state mental health facility because of social skills deficits participated in treatment over a 48-day period in which the student was observed in four settings.
