In an attempt to facilitate the dissemination of air quality information, an index was published and sent out to various community groups. A survey of the index recipients indicated that, while it satisfied some, there were definite limitations to the index that included the inability to predict air quality. (MA)

In this study, two groups of students were asked to perform a number of tasks that required some conservation knowledge. Evaluation of the tasks was done by outside individuals at an outdoor center. Results indicated that the group trained in environmental conservation were less destructive and more conservational in behavior. (MA)
