Farrar, M. Jeffrey; Welch-Ross, Melissa K.; Fasig, Lauren G. – Journal of Experimental Child Psychology, 1997
Assessed the relationship of attachment status to autobiographical memory in preschoolers. Found that mother-child dyads with insecurely attached daughters engaged in relatively more negative memory talk than those with securely attached daughters. Ganschow, Leonore; Sparks, Richard – Modern Language Journal, 1996
Examines the relationship between anxiety and native-language skill and foreign-language aptitude measures among high school foreign-language learners using the Foreign Language Classroom Anxiety Scale (FLCAS). Cheung, Him – Developmental Psychology, 1996
Nonword span (nonwords conforming to English phonology) was used to measure phonological memory and was found to be generally predictive of the number of trials needed for acquiring certain English (second-language) new words for 84 Hong Kong seventh graders. This relationship, however, was preserved only in those students whose English vocabulary…

Yoshitomi, Asako – Issues in Applied Linguistics, 1992
Presents a tentative cognitive-psychological model of language attrition, which draws on information from studies in second language attrition, neurobiology and psychology. Lohr, Linda L.; Ku, Heng-Yu – Quarterly Review of Distance Education, 2003
Describes the process of design and development of two Web-based training templates (i.e., a newspaper metaphor and a theater metaphor) to prompt rapid development of active learning environments.
