Rekindling Longwood University's Rhetoric and Professional Writing Concentration and Minor, 2007-2010
Welch, Kristen Dayle
Composition Forum, v23 Spr 2011
The challenges of redesigning and reviving Longwood University's Rhetoric and Professional Writing program involved skills in collaboration, negotiation, and advertisement. While unexpected obstacles arose, taking an honest look at the existing program design and working to maintain the focus on rhetoric helped to circumvent failure. Finally, student involvement, student feedback, and the use of online resources became key elements in bringing a weak program to life. (Contains 4 notes.)
