Music Shouldn't Hurt
Poliniak, Susan
Teaching Music, v19 n2 p38-40, 42 Oct 2011
Performance-related injuries are a potential problem for musicians of any age and skill level. Music educators should take whatever steps they can to ensure that their students aren't injured in rehearsal or performance, but part of their job is also serving as an example for students to follow. How can teachers avoid injury to themselves "and" their students, and set their instrumentalists and singers on the healthy road to greater levels of musicianship? In this article, three experts share their insights on how to avoid injury and stay healthy.
