This report describes the eLearning Fellowship Program at the University of Jos (UNIJOS), first introduced in October 2008 through a grant from the Carnegie Corporation of New York and recently adopted by the Partnership for Higher Education in Africa (PHEA) Educational Technology Initiative (ETI). The fellowship is a one-year program aimed at identifying and training academics to teach with technology, encourage interdisciplinary collaboration, and create a community of practitioners, and over time impact positively on UNIJOS's uptake of technology for teaching and learning. The strength of the eLearning Fellowship Program is its cascade model. Not everyone will be trained as a fellow but, in the long run, successfully trained eFellows will train and support their colleagues. (Contains 2 tables and 2 notes.)
