Resources within "Reason": Resources for Supporting Young Children in the Child Welfare System
Dinehart, Laura H.; Catlett, Camille
Young Exceptional Children, v14 n3 p41-42 Sep 2011
For teachers, working with young children in the child welfare system can be challenging. A high-quality early learning environment has been linked to long-term positive developmental and academic success. But for children in the child welfare system who are facing significant early challenges, a high quality environment can provide the consistency, early intervention, and basic foundations necessary for success. In this article, the authors present resources that provide useful information to enhance the early development and learning of children in the child welfare system.
