Head in the Cloud, Feet on the Ground!
Smith, Malcolm; Howard, Dave; Hoath, Leigh
Primary Science, n119 p21-23 Sep 2011
Cloud software enables children to engage with their work across and within subjects, not least in science. Bradford College in the UK and the University of Aveiro in Portugal were funded by an Anglo-Portuguese research programme, "The treaty of Windsor", to look at how new web-based technologies are embedded within pre-service and in-service teacher education courses. A key element of the research was how these technologies can be used within the primary classroom to support work in science. In this article, the authors offer some suggestions on how creativity can be found in cloud computing. (Contains 1 figure.)
