Chapin, Martha H.
Rehabilitation Education, v23 n2 p215-222 2009
Positive and negative rehabilitation experiences as a child and as an adult are examined to assess their effect as a consumer of rehabilitation services and as a rehabilitation counselor educator. The importance of case management, social supports, and use of an individualized treatment approach to rehabilitation are highlighted. This article concludes with a discussion of teachable moments and lessons learned that should be beneficial to both rehabilitation counselor educators and their students.
