Aljadeff-Abergel, Elian; Ayvazo, Shiri
Journal of Physical Education, Recreation & Dance (JOPERD), v82 n1 p23-27 Jan 2011
Using a workbook in physical education is not a common practice, but it can enhance students' cognitive knowledge, motivation for learning, and physical activity outside of school. This article introduces an innovative project that involved using a workbook in a power-walking instructional unit with female high-school students. The article illustrates how the workbook was used in the physical education lessons and explains its components. It also includes recommendations for teachers who might consider using a workbook in their physical education classes. (Contains 1 figure and 1 table.)
