Lawrence, Liz
Education in Science, n238 p23 Jun 2010
In this article, the author talks about Primary Science Committee's (PSC) joint meeting with members of the Scottish Primary Group in Edinburgh. The remit of the group is to advise on primary matters, develop primary aspects of Scottish Region's Annual Conference and run primary-focused continuing professional development (CPD) events as part of the Association for Science Education (ASE) Scotland Annual programme. Discussion about how ASE can better support members was animated with congruence between the primary and Scottish perspectives beyond the obvious focus of the meeting. If any other committees are thinking of venturing out from Hatfield, the author recommends the welcome, new ideas and challenge to ways of thinking that a meeting in Edinburgh can provide.
