Stipanovic, Natalie
Techniques: Connecting Education and Careers (J1), v85 n7 p32-35 Oct 2010
In 2005, the state of South Carolina enacted the Education and Economic Development Act (EEDA), commonly known as the Personal Pathways to Success, to improve student achievement, graduation rates, and preparation for postsecondary education and the workforce. One of the timely aspects of this legislation is the prominent role that school counselors play in the career development of students. In this article, the author takes a look at how the EEDA is impacting school counseling by emphasizing the importance of comprehensive counseling for all.
