Comprehensive Interpretive Plans: A Framework of Questions
Adams, Marianna; Koke, Judy
Journal of Museum Education, v33 n3 p293-299 Fall 2008
As explored elsewhere in this publication, the purpose of a Comprehensive or Institution-wide Interpretive Plan (CIP) is to define or articulate the intellectual framework that connects the mission of an organization and its collections with the needs and interests of its audiences. In so doing, it should follow that this plan, shaped by the strength of its collections, mission, and core values, should describe the organization's unique role in the life of a community.
