Principal Self-Efficacy: The Effects of No Child Left Behind and Florida School Grades
McCullers, J. F.; Bozeman, William
NASSP Bulletin, v94 n1 p53-74 Mar 2010
This study examined how self-efficacy beliefs might be used to inform leadership regarding accountability. A survey of principals was used to investigate the degree to which they believed the goals of federal and state school measures were actually attainable, and to what degree they believed their leadership helped achieve these goals. The majority of respondents believed the state goals to be attainable, whereas only a small minority believed the federal goal could be attained. (Contains 1 table.)
