The importance of studying what affects adult learners and the use computer is motivated by the fact that technological innovations are being churned out in geometrical progression in the 21st century. Not to be computer literate is to be in the realm of darkness. Despite the popularity of computer training some problems still inhibit adults in making progress in learning to use computer. This paper examined the level of anxiety in adults learning to be computer literate. A descriptive survey research guided the study. The Modified Spielberg Strait Anxiety Inventory for measuring anxiety was used to gather information from three hundred subjects randomly selected from adults in learner centres of life in Esan West Local Government Area of Edo state, Nigeria. Six hypotheses were stated and tested in the study at 0.05 level of significance. The results revealed that Anxiety exist in Esan West in certain percentage 36-40% adult's occupation increases his or her anxiety. This is shown in result obtained in hypothesis two. The male adults showed more anxiety than the female, as revealed when hypothesis three was tested. The anxiety over difficulty of usage was not significant. However 42% of those who agreed that computer were difficult, were also apprehensive. (Contains 1 table.)
