It would be an amazing understatement to say that much has changed on college and university campuses since Delworth introduced the Assessment-Intervention of Student Problems (AISP) model. For one thing, the term "minority" has been replaced by phrases like "students of color" and "diverse students." Another change is that campus diversity includes more than racial or ethnic diversity. Today international students; gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender students; and nontraditional-aged students add to campus diversity. Another growing diversity on campus is students with disabilities, especially those with mental and cognitive disabilities. This chapter explores aspects of the AISP model as it may be applied in today's more dynamic and diverse campus environments. It first describes the importance of widespread awareness of the diversity and cultural characteristics of students for the AISP model and then focuses on the use of cultural knowledge for the implementation of the campus intervention team, followed by concluding recommendations.
