The EdVisions "Dreamscape" Evaluation Plan

This article describes the "dreamscape" as EdVisions Schools moves forward as an education development organization. "Dreamscape" refers to the goals leaders have developed for the network of more than 40 Edvisions schools nationwide. In this article, the author describes the evolution of objectives for EdVisions school sites and the development of assessment tools to measure schools' status and progress. EdVisions Schools is an education development organization and Coalition of Essential Schools (CES) affiliate center that provides a program model and staff development for charter school creators. Based upon its flagship school, the Minnesota New Country School in Henderson, Minnesota, EdVisions helps create small learning environments that meet adolescent developmental needs, engage previously disengaged students, and provide an experience that designed to help develop productive citizens.
