Kail, Candice
Journal of Web Librarianship, v3 n3 p279-287 2009
This article explores Australia and New Zealand's libraries. Both countries offer vast resources related to their colonial and indigenous histories and heritage. Each nation's libraries have a wealth of material about their contemporary cultures. Immigration is rapidly making both countries more multicultural, and both are very active in the international community. Their recognition of the importance of their collections and the richness of their heritage is clear. Libraries and cultural institutions in each nation are preserving their rich and unique cultural heritage, offering access to some tremendous collections and digital exhibits on New Zealand's Maori culture and Australia's Aboriginal cultures.
