This article aims to reveal experiences of absentee students related to classroom violence. This article will focus on the characteristics of the use of social power by a teacher having crucial influence on students' negative emotions, the loss of learning motivation and the choice of being absent from school. This article will employ primary empirical data received from qualitative semi-structured individual and focus group interviews with children that have experience of absenteeism in Lithuanian schools.
