Considerations for Landing Administrative Work Abroad

This article presents guidelines that should be considered if an American school administrator is interested in a leadership position with an American international school. These are: (1) be flexible and open-minded about one's surroundings; (2) carry a strong sense of adventure; (3) commit to a professional mission in school development; (4) consider the needs and desires of the spouse; and (5) pursuing personal interests facilitates adjustment to the new environment.
