Yell, Michael M.; Box, John
Social Education, v72 n7 p347-349 Nov-Dec 2008
The National Council for the Social Studies (NCSS), in conjunction with the Partnership for 21st Century Skills, the nation's leading advocacy organization focused on infusing 21st century skills into education, is committed to bringing an expanded focus to social studies teachers. The two organizations have collaborated on some exciting resources and ideas to help social studies educators bring a 21st century focus to their classrooms. This article describes the Framework for 21st Century Learning, a framework developed by NCSS and the Partnership to help strengthen American education. A description of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Literacy Map, another product of the collaboration of NCSS and the Partnership, is also provided.
