In this article, the author gives a summary of a conference, organized by Voice of Young People in Care (VOYPIC). The event celebrated the publication of the Caspar Research Report--a report on the mental health of looked-after children and care leavers in Northern Ireland. The event was opened by Vivian McConvey, Director of VOYPIC, who gave some background on the organization. Lelia Fitzsimons, Assistant Director of VOYPIC, chaired the conference and set the context for the event by providing information on the Caspar Project and making links to the speaker's presentations. The conference concluded with a commitment from VOYPIC to develop a plan, based on all the information from the presentations and workshops, to take forward the 17 strategic recommendations from the Caspar research.
