Because living and working are so different now from even a decade or two ago and will continue to change, today's students need new thinking, technical, and communication skills to survive and thrive in the future. Fortunately, the pursuit of knowledge has never been as exciting as it is today. The ability to learn in a mobile, connected environment affords students and educators the ability to participate in a new paradigm of technology-enabled education. This article describes the tools, strategies, and assessments needed by students in order to survive in the 21st century.
