Lally, J. Ronald; Lurie-Hurvitz, Erica; Cohen, Julie
Zero to Three, v26 n6 p48-50 Jul 2006
The authors describe the new ZERO TO THREE Policy Network, launched in 2005 to help the early childhood community get involved with public policy. The purpose of the ZERO TO THREE Policy Network is to engage infant-toddler professionals, researchers, and advocates in the public policy process and provide them with the tools and information they need to assure that all babies have good health, strong families, and positive early learning experiences. The authors suggest that a good place to start early childhood advocacy would be the upcoming reauthorization of Early Head Start, and they provide background data and talking points for meeting with federal and state policymakers about Early Head Start. The article includes a Web link and other information about signing up for the ZERO TO THREE Policy Network.
