Specifically, those who fall short of the standard must assess the likelihood of achieving the necessary GPA for professional program admission. The Excel spreadsheet described in this paper yields quantitative data that serve as a basis for clear communication and effective advising. For students who have a high probability of success, the information provides a target, and the accompanying advising can increase motivation to reach it.
