Parsons, Catherine; DeLucia, Jodi
Technology & Learning, v25 n11 p48 Jun 2005
In the age of data-driven decision making, collecting data and using it efficiently is key to all aspects of the education process. Online surveys are a great way to gather information on everything from lunchroom procedures to program design. This information can impact solutions for student achievement, community relations, and district management. Access to survey design and electronic implementation tools greatly enhances the data-driven decision-making process. Administrators who take advantage of these systems find them invaluable. In this article, the authors present checklists to guide administrators through the why and how of creating their own online survey and share a list of tools available on the market which they use on a regular basis and with which they have had the most success.
