Nobe, Michael D.; Nobe, MaryEllen C.; Larson, Kennard G.
Tech Directions, v64 n9 p36-37 Apr 2005
Late work, a growing problem in the society, ultimately undermines the value delivered to the consumer. In this article, the authors have experienced a predisposition in students to turn their work in late. As educators of the next generation of professionals, they state that they must address societal problems, and teaching the importance of timely execution should be one of their key concerns. In this article, the authors discuss their efforts to teach students the importance of timely execution of work in construction and manufacturing. They hope to prompt more educators to develop and consistently enforce deadline policies.
