Alghazo, Iman M.
Education, v126 n4 p769-781 Sum 2006
This study took place in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to examine teachers' use of the Internet, identify obstacles teachers face in using the Internet, and identify parties that support them to use the Internet in their classrooms. Data were collected from 443 elementary and secondary teachers throughout the country using the Teacher Internet Survey (TIS). Results revealed that teachers' use of the Internet in teaching was very minimal due to many factors including limited access to the Internet in the classroom, low level of expertise in using the Internet, lack of equipment and the lack of time along with many other obstacles.
