Taking Action: Assessing the Impact of Preservice Teaching on Learning
Moore, Rita
Action in Teacher Education, v28 n3 p53-60 Fall 2006
This writing is an investigation into the use of action research methods and tools as a means for preparing 26 preservice teachers to effectively link assessment to instruction. Two concepts emerged from the data: the importance of developmentally appropriate practice and documenting and validating student learning. This study suggests the power of action research as a teaching and learning tool in teacher preparation programs. (Contains 1 table.)
