Prayer Study: Science or Not?
Gallucci, Kathy
Journal of College Science Teaching, v33 n4 p32-35 Feb 2004
This article presents a case study of heart patients who had someone unknowingly praying for them suffered fewer complications. In this article, the author states that the case is used in an introductory biology course for nonmajors at the freshman or sophomore level and is used to evaluate students' understanding of the scientific method. Thus, she states that the case study has been a successful application of the scientific method in her classes and that it never fails to incite student responses. (Contains 1 figure.)
