Coy, Mary
SchoolArts: The Art Education Magazine for Teachers, v105 n9 p31 May-Jun 2006
In this article the author relates how the digital camera has altered the way she teaches and the way her students learn. She also emphasizes the importance for teachers to have software that can edit, print, and incorporate photos. She cites several instances in which a digital camera can be used: (1) PowerPoint presentations; (2) Open house; (3) Art exhibits; (4) Personalized gifts; (5) Parent correspondence; (6) Travelogues; and (7) Special events. In addition, the author suggests that it is important to ask a technology chairperson or camera salesperson for advice before purchasing a digital camera.
