Essential Entry-Level Skills for Systems Analysts
Banerjee, Sarbani; Lin, William
Journal of Education for Business, v81 n5 p282-286 May-Jun 2006
In this study, the authors provide some details about a variety of entry-level skills that are vitally important to systems analysts. They gathered the data from information technology practitioners, who related their experiences with real-world systems development projects. Such empirical evidence may be useful to faculty as they decide which development practices to emphasize in information systems curricula, as they attempt to align educational programs with industry practices, and as they advise students.
