Banks, Aaron; Reed, Julian
Strategies: A Journal for Physical and Sport Educators, v17 n3 p7-9 Jan-Feb 2004
This article offers readers ideas for using mass media to enhance their physical education program. Generally, media is the term used to define the way in communicating with a large number of people. Technically, media is divided into two categories: print and film (electronic). Print (journals, newspapers, books, etc.) is "put to paper" to create images and transmit information. Film (movies, television, Internet, etc) incorporates visual and audio cues to impact the senses. Here, the authors discuss the use of media and the strategies of incorporating media in teaching to enhance the physical education environment and to positively influence the future health of young Americans.
