Landscape Your Library to Attract Students
Braxton, Barbara
Teacher Librarian, v31 n5 p42 Jun 2004
In this article, the author poses the question: What is the importance and impact of this research on the environment we develop in our libraries? To her, they are inextricably intertwined. The author argues that the library is the information centre of the school, and its staff are the information specialists. It is them, through the programs and products that the library offers, that the knowledge workers of the future are nurtured. For this to happen, they need to be in the library and so it needs to be a place that invites them in.
