Essential Questions to Raise during a Building Project
Schneider, Tod
School Administrator, v62 n5 p39 May 2005
School planning isn't easy. Compromises can inadvertently undermine critical health and safety features. Errors can go undetected until too late, becoming apparent only after the cement is dry. As a school design consultant, the author is often pointing out dysfunctional elements in otherwise fine school buildings. He would much rather catch them in the design state, but does not always get the chance. The author has drawn up a list of essential questions to keep handy during the design process, addressing safety, health and connectivity. These questions are listed in this article.
