Haar, Jean M.
Rural Educator, v25 n1 p30-35 Fall 2003
Rural schools by structure and philosophy match the expectations and description of a learning community. Establishing a learning community in a rural school can create an atmosphere that encourages committed educators to grow through trust, respect, and collegiality. Recommendations are given for establishing high quality, ongoing professional development that can guide, encourage, and reinvigorate rural educators. (TD)
