Drebing, Charles E.; Fleitas, Rick; Moore, Anshan; Krebs, Christopher; Van Ormer, Alice; Penk, Walter; Seibyl, Catherine; Rosenheck, Robert
Rehabilitation Counseling Bulletin, v46 n1 p5-13 Fall 2002
Analysis performed to identify differences in working functioning and vocational rehabilitation among participants with psychiatric disorders alone, substance use disorders alone, and a diagnosis of both disorders. Dual diagnosis was associated with better work functioning and more participation in rehabilitation. Findings may suggest clinicians should focus on work and vocational goals to support other efforts for clients with dual diagnoses. (Contains 25 references and 3 tables.) (ADT)
