Teachers Challenging the Status Quo in the Research Interview.
Johnson, Greer
Journal of Education for Teaching, v28 n3 p275-78 Nov 2002
Presents findings from an Australian study that examined experienced teachers' reflective practice by asking whether a new approach generated from aspects of poststructuralism can help teachers move to more critical reflection. While earlier research indicated that very few preservice teachers challenged assumptions on which their own visually and verbally documented teaching practices were based, experienced teachers had a much stronger tendency to challenge the institutional status quo.
