Aguinis, Herman; Henle, Christine A.
Journal of Social Psychology, v141 n4 p537-49 Aug 2001
Examines whether nonverbal behavior affects how people perceive a female employee's power base. U.S. undergraduate students read vignettes describing a female employee engaged in three types of nonverbal behavior, then rated their perception of her power base. Reports an increase in student perception of coercive power when direct eye contact was used. (CMK)
