Discussion of research on index presentation styles focuses on two empirical studies conducted at the University of Twente that compared run-in, indented, and flush right styles. Shows that there is a relationship between task complexity and search efficiency and suggests that a clear visual separation between entry and locator may help the user. (Author/LRW)
