First-Year Medical Students' Listener Preferences: A Longitudinal Study.
Watson, Kittie W.; Lazarus, Cathy J.; Thomas, Todd
International Journal of Listening, v13 p1-11 1999
Describes a study which examined the current matriculation preferences and developmental changes in particular listening habits of medical students during their first year of medical education. Notes that results indicated significant differences between the "people" orientation and the "content" and "time" orientations. Suggests the need for future research using the same population to measure and compare changes throughout the medical students' education. (PM)
