Learning and Personal Growth in Community College Students Who Intend To Transfer: The Role of Student Involvement, Institutional Environment, and Advising.
Swigart, Theodore E.
Journal of Applied Research in the Community College, v8 n1 p43-55 Fall 2000
Analyzes the relationship between student involvement and growth in community college students, particularly those intending to transfer to a four-year program, and compares outcomes for male and female students. Findings indicate that students benefited from talking with advisers, and that the relationship between student effort and growth was not the same for males and females. Contains three tables and 50 references. (NB)
